These forms may be downloaded filled out then printed or printed then filled out by hand with black or blue ink. Forms must then be submitted to the soldiers Command or 1SG for signature prior to bringing them to the AER Offices listed above. AER (Army Emergency Relief) allowed E-7s to receive financial assistance without a Commander’s signature or knowledge. Army wife of a soldier who joined in 2003. E4 and below, fill out the front page completely (blocks 1-13).  The Commander or First Sergeant fills out blocks 14a through 14d, and others not assigned to or under control of a Presidio of Monterey unit may pick up forms at the AER office. Commander or First Sergeant may authorize up to $1,500.00 for a loan that must be paid back in 15 months or less or before ETS. Only the soldier may receive the loan and the loan must be executed at an AER section. AER Form 600.  The Commander or First Sergeant must fill out and sign Blocks 10 a-f.  No budget form is needed. CR loan at a time for a total of two in any 12-month period.  The total assistance for a soldier with a current AER loan and the CR loan may not exceed $2,500 total.  Other restrictions may apply, so please consult your local AER section. ARNG and USAR soldiers on active duty for more than 30 days and their dependents, surviving spouses or orphans, and 14e as desired. Unaccompanied dependents, retirees and their dependents, retirees, and surviving spouses and orphans of soldiers who died while on active duty or after they retired. ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement and substantiating documents (car repair estimate, rental agreement, etc.).Our office also provides emergency assistance to members of other services through their relief agencies.
