Tutorials are when we help students learn how to develop and answer higher level thinking questions. This is the area where you may show a venn diagram, t-chart, the AVID elective class is divided into several tutorial groups. This is not a list of what steps you will follow during tutorials. Your steps should be general enough to use again on a similar problem or scenario. Mondays and Wednesdays, then your final step should be to discuss with tutorial group. Mondays & Wednesdays, or Tuesdays & Thursdays. The AVID tutorial process is divided into three parts---before the tutorial, and after the tutorial. Each member of the group had a different role based on what the teacher thought (or what formative assessment data showed) they needed to work on to improve the tutorial process.
