The welcome reappearance of Felix Leiter, now a pleasingly hangdog Jeffrey White (I really hope White isn’t gone for good). Gradually the legend builds itself around you. No sign of him in the Spectre trailers but I live in hope.I should stress, none of the above is a critique. Royale is THE Bond for the new generation. He busts some heads and has an interesting love story, unlike most Bond flicks. Additionally, Ultimatum isn't even the best of the Bourne films in my opinion. The whole thing smacked of "been there, done that", except that it was so long compared to older Bond films that it was kind of tedious to get through. However, I honestly think Casino Royale is a better movie although that's because I find it more charming. The Daniel Craig James Bond is vastly different from the Pierce Brosnan James Bond or Sean Connery James Bond but that's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, you'll find it's more true to the source material of the novels. The difference is almost a reflection of the world it is today - everchanging. Even against my favourite Bourne film, Supremacy, Casino Royale would still win. Bond is just a much more interesting character than Bourne, who while impressive, just isn't particularly engaging, interesting or charismatic. Ultimatum I was getting bored and nauseated by it.
