Travel in South America is likely to be quite an exciting adventure for the avid poker player. I would say that it depends on the country. South America is a big continent and countries are all in really different economic situations. If you move to Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay or Brazil you will be able to get good internet connections and at the same time enjoy some good beaches. Also, dollars are worth a lot, which will be a great advantage. I would suggest finding a country where English is the native language. South America so I did some research a couple years ago. The best places would be tourist destinations, Cancun definately comes to mind. But yeah dude if you're making out good with online poker fulfill your fantasies and travel the world. I moved to Vegas when I had $25k. This was when Epassporte cashouts were in the works. Then one morning having most of this money online I wake up to an email saying Epassporte is gone. All my money was online, and I was unable to make quick cashouts. Some weeks I had to have my mother Western Union me some money so I can pay the rent. I also gambled and spent a lot of money so the br took a hit if you know what I mean lol so be careful on that as well. Dont over spend. I was paying $400 a week for my motel that was off the strip, where I could have paid $300 for a motel on the strip. I could have paid cheaper than that had I looked for a million dollar poker house. So constantly be on the lookout for cheaper and just as good alternatives. Whether its car rental, food, bar, motel, attractions, (I guess girls lol). And make sure you have a backup plan in case something goes wrong. Have another bank account, another poker site, definately an extra laptop, and an extra internet connection. Cause if either one of those go down, you're screwed. Also consider having a secondary source of income. Have an online business, sell on ebay, trade currencies, flip real estate notes, be an affiliate, ********* whatever. South America is the right choice for you. I plan on traveling the US staying in a city for a couple weeks, get to know the area before settling in one spot. As I was in Vegas I was told its not a place you want to live and I agree. Just in case you make all the plans to move to South America, you get there and it just doesnt feel right for you. There may have been better places. Also look into poker houses. I just learned about these. They're multi million dollar homes that are rented out to 4-12 poker players who are all room mates. You live in a million dollar home and live with other poker peers. Central and South America have legalized gambling and poker, and this is a region that is also experiencing a lot of growth and technological change. I am not really a fan of using the internet to book longer stay places like this. I want to see it in person myself first. When I am on the road like this I typically have no wish to sign any sort of lease.
