Quinault Marina & RV Park

quinault beach casino rv parking

Description

Located on the beach at Ocean Shores, the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino is Washington’s premiere coastal destination. No antenna tv or phone reception and Not very good grocery or fuel access. Casino is nice with regular table games and slots and pricey food. WiFi available in the lobby (with my coffee each morning) and you could probably get access to the pool if you tried. RV camping area out. No parking on pavement, they have signs prohibiting it all over. But they have a designated RV dry camping area on level packed dirt/sand with 65 marked RV spaces. Very friendly employees, except it seemed the dealers and craps stick people were very young and inexperienced and had a hard time adding 4 and 5. They also played around too much for us,and the pit crew didn't care if there was a problem or if we were unhappy. The buffet was very small and very expensive. The deli was very good. Slots were good to us, not too tight. This park has full hookup (sewer, water, electricity). Not all sites have a picnic table, so you have to get there early if you want to snag a table and fire pit. The RV spots are very close together. My husband said that he was able to get quite a few channels on the TV and we were also able to get cell reception with Verizon. The wireless connection was good enough to serve as a personal hotspot. The beach was far better than the beach in the town of Ocean Shores (no cars driving around). The campground does have free showers in the bathrooms, but I didn't use the showers. I also noticed they have a laundry room, but I couldn't tell you if they work or not. Also, your first impression of the campground is not the best because it is right next door to a boarded up hotel. The entrance to the campground is in serious need of some TLC to be a little bit more inviting. I honestly almost asked my husband to turn around and take me back to town, but I'm so glad that I didn't. I loved being steps from the beach and hearing the waves crash all night. We were directed here by the manager of another area campground after my wife was dissapointed there was no ocean view there. This CG is right on the water, between a bay and the ocean. If this place was full, the sites would be tight, but there are only 6 rigs here, so that's not an issue. Verizon cell works here, and a couple of TV channels come in by antenna. That's it. Nearest internet miles away in Ocean Shores. No trees, grassy sites, average room between the sites, a few full timers near the entrance, which I think are native fishermen. One irritant: lacking fire rings, people have made campfires wherever they want. There were 5 ash pits in our site: no matter how we tried to back in, we were walking in ashes, and the carpets, etc., suffered for it. Bring lots of tarps, I guess. Just a few rigs there with about 4 not the best trailers and motorhomes. Just follow the main street in Ocean Shores down to the end and you will see the park on the right at the T. Will definitely come back here again. Jane was going to put the entry tickets into the barrel they draw from, when an employee who was manning the barrel, turned and swung his arm while stepping back in an clumsy attempt to stop her from putting in the tickets. Jane is a disabled veteran and has medical issues which make this type of incident of concern. She then brought over the employee that had hit Jane and had him give an apology for hitting her and his handling of the situation. He seemed sincerely apologetic and we were glad he at least realized he had hurt Jane and was wrong to handle the situation the way he did. We even shook hands.A floor casino manager came after a bit and chatted with us about the incident. We asked her for a business card and she said she would get one for us. She had the head security guard come with a notebook of papers. In a stern manner he asked Jane to sign, saying she was not asking for medical attention. I asked to look at it with her, and we noticed the majority of the form was blank. Knowing it's a bad idea to sign a blank form, we politely asked him to fill out the blank areas. Dana Summers, of the Quinault Tribal Gaming Commission. He doesn't introduce himself formally, greet us or ask to sit and talk with us. Instead, he stands very close to Jane and starts speaking in an hostile, abrasive manner. Jane, only making a gesture to close the barrel. Knowing he is lying since I saw it with my own eyes, I immediately become alarmed. Quinault Tribal Gaming Commission employee Dana Summers, came over to verbally accost and intimidate us. He had no interest in how the customers were, and he certainly did not care for the truth. Android. From resorts to hike-in spots. Amenities, maps, truck stops, rest areas, Wal-mart and casino parking, RV dealers, sporting goods stores and much more. Two modes: one uses GPS and maps that you can filter. One is an offline manual lookup mode for when you don't have service. We did walk through the casino. The machines appeared to be new and in good repair. We didn't hear any winner's bells going off. There were some 5¢ slots. That is, you can see the fireplace while snoozing in bed and while hanging out in the sitting area of the room. Take note - the room description on the official web site shows picture of a beautiful fireplace above the room description. If you are like us, you would assume that a picture of a room fireplace would go with the room description. The balcony is rather narrow (approximately 2 inches). There is no way for someone to be on the balcony with the sliding glass door closed. Quinault Nation currently provides more than 1,200 jobs for Quinault citizens and others. New dining options will include a food court seating 160, and an updated buffet with 150 more seats.
