sugarhouse casino blackjack table minimum

Description

I am not sure if they think they should only cater to the high rollers but that did not work out so well for The Revel Casino. My wife and I have been going there for over 3 years and since the renovation you can't win anything. Let me explain. We are casual slot players. We will go with about $100 - $150 and our free plan (which by the way is becoming more scarce) and play for at least 3 - 4 hours. I used to tell everyone how great it was. I never go expecting to win but I at least want to play for a while. THAT told me they do NOT want or need casual gamblers anymore so we are taking our money to Harrahs. At least there you get room offers, food offers and yes FREE PLAY. My friend who IS a high roller also stopped going in April as he saw the same pattern. I was surprised to return today to find only 3 blackjack tables open, two $15 minimum, one $25 minimum. All hand shuffle 8-deck shoes. Only the two $15 minimum tables were full. Took a glance in the former high roller pit. BJ gone. Mostly Paigow and other Asian games. Crowded. Sat down at the $25 table with only two other players, I played two hands, mostly $25 or $50 a hand. After 15 minutes I was up $500 on a $500 buyin, so left a winner. Good rules, especially surrender option which is offered at all PA casinos. Cashier moved to the far end of the casino to make you walk very far from either main exit. Inconvenient. Did not see a cocktail waitress while I was there. Compared to the crowds id a year ago the casino is practically empty. People hemorrhage money at the Sugarhouse Casino on a regular basis. It seems that ever since the new casino license was awarded Sugarhouse slots have been paying out a lot less. They were never the kind of slots that would encourage you to quit your day job before but now they are tight to the point of insanity. I mentioned the lack of crowds to a customer service rep who was taking a survey and she claimed that the casino was slow during the summer although the previous 3 summers it had been much busier. I spoke with the same rep this weekend and asked her where the crowds were and this time she had no answer. Many of their patrons use Septa and therefore the casino is their only option. The first two machines that we sit down at won't take the free play. The system would let you go through the motions and then "an error" would happen. After we find machines that will take our free play and we play through it, we look at the table game selection. What a joke. Pai Gow Poker has a $40 minimum on a Monday night (no wonder the 4 tables were almost empty). Blackjack had $25 minimums, again on a Monday night. Henry Moore. Areas with only one or two casinos and even larger gaming destinations on a weekend all suffer from the lack of tables to accommodate the lower limit players. Since there are more players than table spaces the casinos can raise the limits and still fill many of the seats. We rush over only to find that the table limit is a minimum of $25 or $50 per hand. We wonder why they can't change the empty table to a five or ten dollar table to accommodate the lower limit players. They can make almost that much in half the time with two $25 players. They can make that in about an hour with a single player at $100 table. The one thing you don’t want to do is sit down and play at a table with higher limits than you can afford.
