We were here several years ago and it seemed fine. This year we stopped and were not impressed. Staff seemed uninterested in helping anyone. Even some of the customers seemed to be kind of rude. I overheard a couple of the employees talking about the working conditions and how abusive it can be to work there. I can not spend money at a place that I know treats their employees so poorly. I always seem to win, well it depends on what others consider winning. They have done nothing but continue to improve over the last several years. The Buffet is the best by far of any of the other Oregon Casinos. We are constantly receiving promotions and lodging specials. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. Win or lose we always have a great time at Spirit Mountain.I've been visiting Spirit Mountain since they opened. No, I don't play only large denominations. Some of the funds are being used to give away some larger prizes such as Roll for a Million and Ring of Riches, where one of a few lucky drawings are rewarded. I personally would rather have some more payout on the slots and skip the drawings. They are too crowded to make me comfortable so I rarely come on those days just because it's like walking in the middle of a cattle drive. They listen and adjust.I've never had any problems at the hotel except once when the rooms were not cleaned and ready for check-in because cleaning staff didn't show up, however I was comped an upgrade and everyone made sure I was satisfied and comfortable. A lot of part time positions do move into full time as people move positions or the needs of the company changes. Just be sure to put your desired shift, days off and want to be full time in as soon as you begin in your department. Management is failing to support this department. Officials higher up the food chain are making decisions for the cage with little knowledge or care of how it will effect the department. The hardest part of the job were ever changing policies and procedures. Also over the past few months there is less care about the guests and more focused on making the tribe money. The most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with the public and making lasting friendships.A typical work day at Spirit Mountain Casino included an eight day shift. My work at Spirit Mountain taught me improved customer service skills. I worked as a team, I have met a lot of interesting. I have learned to count money fast and multi task. Fallowed closely policies and procedures.A pretty good company to work for. Since it's a Casino it different from your average companies, great benefits. You can apply for different positions through out the whole company so advancement is great. Management got 3 stars because it was a mix, there were good supervisors who would get in there with you and help, and bad supervisors who would be over your shoulder every step of the way but refuse to assist.
