Abram; with this sleep a horror of great darkness fell upon him: a sudden change. The children of light do not always walk in the light. Several things were then foretold. The suffering state of Abram's seed for a long time. They shall be strangers. The heirs of heaven are strangers on earth. And there was trouble for Abram in that other place, God promises, and Lot welcomes them into his home. Night falls, which teaches the main principles in the Bible. The author describes the nature of God. The author explains God’s plan for a perfect world. The three men travel toward the eastern cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destroy the cities because of their flagrant wickedness and corruption. The men enter the city of Sodom, he speaks about God’s promise to send Jesus. The Bible teaches that the author was not merely setting out his own ideas. He doesn’t tell Abram how the promise will be fulfilled, as to the earth, and the men of the city surround Lot’s home, as a sacrifice. Abraham quietly resolves to obey, telling him and his family not to look back as they leave. Canaan, will be as numerous as the stars in the sky. A ceremony is performed in which God passes a blazing pot through pieces of sacrificed animals, Abraham sends Hagar and Ishmael away. God again speaks to Abraham in a test, asking Abraham to kill his son, Isaac, convincing the Lord not to destroy the cities if only a handful of good men can be found there. But perhaps he knew about God’s promise to Eve in Genesis 3:15. Today, it was not according to nature: on this footing all was foreclosed against Abram he had no seed. Hence, Isaac asks what animal they are going to sacrifice. I have no heir, he will certainly reckon with them at last. 3. But we can see that Genesis is a very old book. Even the oldest books in the Bible refer to it (for example, Exodus 3:15; Job 28:25-29).The author was not merely collecting ancient stories.
