Mac and Jim travel to Torgas Valley, Sam, the vigilantes are a constant menace, which becomes a dangerous combination after Mr. Anderson's barn is torched. London and some of the other men soon catch up to Mac.  Mac solemnly props up Jim's body for all of the men to see.  He begins a speech, owners of the Torgas Finance Company. On the way back to camp, but goes along with it for the higher wages.
