The premise of the show was following the lives of students at historically black colleges. Like most non-competitive reality shows, the appeal of College Hill lies in watching the drama of the students' lives, as they go on dates, study for exams, and fight with each other. The complaint is that the show's dramatic style focuses on and exploits the worst parts of human nature and showcases its cast members only as black stereotypes. College Hill will end its run on BET as the number one series in the network's history. I've noticed that too. I just started watching Harlem Heights on BET. One of my faves, Ally, a natural-haired beauty barely gets any airtime. And when she does, its nothing dramatic. She's not even in any of the cast photos or bios on the BET website. I still watch it lol.I actually saw this show last night and the natural-headed young lady didn't get much air time. The few segments of her I did see, she appeared to be the most level-headed one in the bunch. I need to start watching this season. I'm a sucker for reality shows. TV. But we definitely need to make a bigger presence and feel like we have a chance to audition for these type of shows.I definitely understand to not subscribe to that mentality of we have one___ so its all good. I think its discouraging for curly haired women to see alot of weaved up, hair down their back women on TV.I don't know this show - just going by the thumbnails. The straightie/weavies are dressed for the hotness. Compared to them Curly is a bit tomboyish/girl pal next door with her Polo shirt. She even mentioned that she is bisexual (which usually gets the guys riled up) but no one seemed to care. They compared Teri and the other girl because of the complexion and the same hair color. She even made a statement that Teri was her competition at first until she saw her hair (weave). Teri made a complete full of herself falling all over that guy. Ha. I am also too old for this mess but reality tv is my guilty pleasure. India is that adorably awkward individual with strong opinions that you never really paid attention to in high school.
