epson 3880 front feed slot

Description

This is loading paper before I have sent a job to the printer, so it does not know what to expect. I am beginning to think the paper is too thick or I have somehow fouled the rollers. Border-less printing is not available with this loading method. Vivid Magenta ink formulations, with their improved colour gamut. This isn't a problem if you've just purchased the printer new, but is something to be aware of if you get one from someone else. in general, if two cleaning cycles don't sort a problem, then leave the printer and come back to it a few hours later. More cleaning is just likely to use up ink.I always remember that the screen image is just a step in the process of getting to a fine print. I take the attitude that any small step that improves quality is worth taking if it does not hamper other aspects of my work.I still see debates about whether to work in 16 bit after converting raw files. I've seen banding appear in 8 bit B/W files after applying extreme curve adjustments to parts of images. This didn't happen at 16 bit, so I take 16 bit working as one of those minor steps (often not readily visible) that contribute in a positive way to total print quality. Wheel" scratching issues with the Epson Pro 3880. When printing with Jon Cone Type 5 (or other glossy papers including Epson's own glossy papers) the scratches are a BIG problem in the dark areas of the print. JCS Type 5.I've tried all the easy work-arounds I could find (extending print delay, spacers, spring tension, paper thickness adjust, platen adjust, ink density, etc.), but none of them have eliminated the scratching from the wheels in dark areas. I'm willing to sacrifice an additional inch or so of image length without the wheels (by not having the "pizza wheels" pull the paper beyond the back rollers) in order to eliminate the scratching. This appears to result in occasional head strikes on the paper while printing. Front Manual Feed Slot use appears to prevent head contact using the “wide” platen setting with JCS Type 5 paper. Pro 3880's, about one year different in age, and they both reliably produce Skew errors with the Front Manual Feed Slot when attempting to feed in a printed image for a GO coat. If I use a blank sheet of paper, both 3880's load right up with no Skew errors. Rear Manual Feed Slot, you will be able to load canvas easily AND utilize the most of each sheet. That fixes most issues as far as prints coming out too dark or too light. If you need a custom ICC profile for any of our media, I’ll be happy to help, just let me know. Also make sure your monitor is properly calibrated. Canvas sheets, but I don’t see any profiles for it. I have been using Chromata profiles which are not bad, but I’m sure the Brilliance profile would be better. BC canvases on an Epson Pro 3880 and it works nearly 100% of the time. Today, I learned an important lesson for using this technique that you might want to include if you update your video in the future, or at least pass along to others using this technique. For leaders, I had been just cutting up old prints since the paper is nice and stiff without being too thick. Turns out the 3880 looks for the edge of whatever media you feed in from the rear slot, and it was actually sensing dark areas on my leaders as the outside edge of the canvas, even if it was somewhere in the middle of the canvas. Once the printer did this, it set up to print less than the full width of the canvas since it thought the media was narrower than it really was. I think this is a safety feature to prevent shooting ink in places where media is not present. Anyway, it took a lot of talking with the Epson Support folks to figure out what was happening. Once I started using clean white leader strips, the problem was solved. It's still the smallest A2 printer on the market - and also the lowest priced. Auto Sheet Feeder, also feel rather thin and insecure for handling large sheets of paper so it's good to have more solid and substantial front and rear feeders as alternatives. You can't lift this panel until the printer has been powered up and you've pressed the appropriate button for a few seconds. USB or Ethernet cable and install the driver software and online user manual from the supplied disk. This takes a further three to five minutes. Epson print heads are not a user replaceable part (they should last the life of the printer). In the picture below, you can see that despite the print capacity, the 3880 does not take up too much desk space. This is not something that marketing departments will like, but is becoming quite noticeable as I look back over reviews I've written in the last 5-6 years. One suggested fix (apart from making sure there is no curl or dust to build up) is to turn off paper size detection. I’ve been adding a number of new posts intended for intermediate users of the Epson Stylus Pro 3880 or Epson SureColor P800, most specifically those who want to create museum-grade prints at higher quality. The printer seems to want the B Feed Test fed through the Rear Manual Feed. Fine. But then when it comes to test the Thickness pattern the printer seems to want the paper from the sheet feed,, which I can’t do with the gsm thickness of this paper. I love my 3880--to the point that I purchased a Jon Cone inkset for it. (Very nice, by the way, but not the subject of this query). The one problem I have is with 17x22 paper. It can take many tries to get that paper to feed correctly in the back manual loader. I sometimes notice it in a 3800 with Epson Exhibition Fiber paper. Curving the edges of the paper away from the printing surface may help the paper to feed correctly.I too have a problem with skewing of the paper in 17x22 inch size. This is from the top feeder. I do not have the space to reach/work with it. I have been printing 16x20 inch images on the 17x22 inch stock, and matting the print to allow for the skew.I too have a problem with skewing of the paper in 17x22 inch size. This is from the top feeder.
