I would always defend my BB with that hand getting ~3-1 immediate odds (and a ceiling of ~120-1) when I'm closing the action. If you check-raise the flop and get called, you can jam most turns. You would actually prefer your opponent muck his hand because then you win the pot. It's incredibly rare that my opponent will muck the winner just because I show first. I have $70 US a week available for poker to play with. this can be added to my bankroll each week. I'm going to start playing the 0.25 45 mans on poker stars. At 12BB I don't expect people to have a raising range. I was 2nd/3rd in chips with my stack being close to 175K. Blinds were 1500/3000 Hero: 58 BB Villain 1 (CO) : 40 BB, so far a solid straightforward player. Blinds are 1500/3000 with 400 ante. We are in middle position with ATd sitting with 120000. Player, old man with same size stack, opens for 7000. Player has same stack and recently lost huge all in a few hands prior. Am realizing I have short changed myself all these years. Before I get started just wanted to tell you guys a little about myself. The only time I would ever be fearful of this is if my opponent has a 3bet stat almost 0 and we have a fair amount of hands behind us. And I still wouldn't be scared unless I get raised on the turn. Bet flop, bet turn, bet river.
