At the Grove Steakhouse, our butcher cuts your steaks daily. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will cater to your every need. We offer an incredible meal in an elegant atmosphere. We love the appetizers, especially the calimari and beet salad. However I would rate the beverage availability a one star. Their craft beer selection is very poor in fact one of San Diego's most highly rated craft breweries is within two miles of the grove and not offered. The service was so impeccable, from the hostess to our server, to our busser, to the chef, to the manager. The chef and the manager were great and took the time to give a personalized experience even though it was a busy Saturday evening. The menu has classic items as well as items which appeal to more adventurous diners. We were celebrating two birthdays and enjoyed three delicious desserts. The Grove Steakhouse in about four weeks however, we have enjoyed several dinners here for well over 10 years now. This time we were here for my husband's birthday. We agreed that we weren't going to order the same thing we did a few weeks ago, which is the reason for my less-than-perfect rating. The food itself was fresh & well-prepared, however, it just wasn't our favorite. Cafe at Viejas to give you the flavors and textures you remember with a decidedly modern twist. Aficionados of the venerable Club sandwich will be happy to find a new favorite in the Viejas Club, another delight here is the tamarind glazed smoked brisket sand with pickled daikon, pickles, cilantro, and garlic aioli on a french baguette. No problem, the staff at Viejas Casino refresh the carts every few minutes and roll delicious and affordable snacks and bites around to you while you stay focused on your winning streak.
