Twenty-One. The rules are simple, the play is thrilling, and there is opportunity for high strategy. Blackjack one of the most attractive casino games for the player. While the popularity of Blackjack dates from World War I, its roots go back to the 1760s in France, where it is called Vingt-et-Un (French for 21). Today, Blackjack is the one card game that can be found in every American gambling casino. As a popular home game, it is played with slightly different rules. In the casino version, the house is the dealer (a "permanent bank"). In casino play, the dealer remains standing, and the players are seated. In the home game, all of the players have the opportunity to be the dealer (a "changing bank").The standard 52-card pack is used, but in most casinos several decks of cards are shuffled together. The six-deck game (312 cards) is the most popular. In addition, the dealer uses a blank plastic card, which is never dealt, but is placed toward the bottom of the pack to indicate when it will be time for the cards to be reshuffled. In the latter case, the player loses and the dealer collects the bet wagered. For example with a "soft 17" (an ace and a 6), the total is 7 or 17. While a count of 17 is a good hand, the player may wish to draw for a higher total. If the total is 17 or more, he must stand. If the total is 16 or under, he must take a card. He must continue to take cards until the total is 17 or more, at which point the dealer must stand. If the dealer has an ace, and counting it as 11 would bring his total to 17 or more (but not over 21), he must count the ace as 11 and stand. When the player decides to stand, he can say "Stand" or "No more," or can signal this intention by moving his hand sideways, palm down and just above the table. Simple Strategy was too high. So in September 2009 I developed the following "Wizard's Strategy." The cost due to imperfect plays is 0.14% only, relative to liberal Vegas Strip rules. Most of these tables pay 6 to 5, but some even money and 7 to 5 tables are known to exist. In my opinion, only games that pay 3 to 2 deserve to be called "blackjack," the rest fall under "21" games, including Super Fun 21 and Spanish 21. Regardless of the other rules, you should demand nothing less than 3 to 2 blackjack. City rules (dealer stands on soft 17, split up to 4 hands, double after split, double any two cards) of 0.43%.For my analysis of this strategy I assumed the player would never hit a hard 12 or more. All other decisions were according to correct basic strategy. They are created and validated in two ways: The first method involves applying probability theory which uses extremely complicated mathematics. He then plays his own hand, which determines the outcome of the game. Obviously, each hand is different. If a player "busts" (goes over 21), the casino immediately takes the player's money. If the casino then "busts" on the same hand, the player still loses. Here are some rules of thumb: Never split 5's -- your total is 10; you are likely to end strong. Always split 8's and Aces. Splitting 8's will change probable losers to probable winners. For standing, place your chips on top of your cards, face down or wave your hand palm down horizontally over your cards. A practical system for counting cards in blackjack to gain an edge over the casino was made available to the public in the early 1960s. As it happened, few players ever really learned to beat the dealer. Blackjack pays 3-2--that is, a two-card 21 on a $5 bet will win $7.50 instead of the usual $5 even-money payoff on other winning hands. At one corner of the table is a rectangular placard that tells the minimum and maximum bets at that table, as well as giving variations in common rules. That means the minimum bet at this table is $5 and the maximum is $2,000. Pairs may be split according to the rules described below, and if more matching cards are dealt, the pairs may be split up to three times for a total of four hands. After all bets have been placed, each player and the dealer are given two cards. In a shoe game, all player cards are dealt faceup, and the players are not permitted to touch their cards. If the player's total exceeds 21 after hitting, the player is said to "bust" and loses the bet. In shoe games, the player signals a hit by pointing to his cards or scratching or waving toward himself. In facedown games, the player signals a hit by scratching the table with the cards. Some casinos restrict doubling down to hands in which your first two cards total 10 or 11. Others allow you to double on any two cards. Double down by taking a chip or chips equal to the amount of your original bet and placing them next to your bet. In a facedown game, at this point you also need to turn your original two cards faceup. Splitting the two 8s gives you a better chance of getting one winning hand, and of course saving your money. And if you draw a 10 to both hands, you've made two 18s instead of the single 16, which has much better probabilities. It is not that hard to learn, and can be very effective in minimizing losses and maximizing profits. Card counting is not illegal by any means, but it may get you promptly, if not permanently, removed from the casino if caught. Note that card counting is not a viable online casino blackjack strategy. For one, you can put all of the money you intended to spend towards your bankroll. You won't have to gas up the car, purchase airline tickets or book a hotel (if no local casino). When you win, you won't have the obligatory "tipping the dealer" to reduce your profits. Don't play a blackjack table where the limits do not correspond with your bankroll. No matter how many blackjack tips and strategies you apply, you'll want to have plenty of opportunities to play hands, with splitting and doubling available, in order to make a sizeable profit. Make sure you will be able to place a minimum of 40 bets with your bankroll before choosing a table. In most land-based gaming venues, the dealer hits on a soft 17, but you will occasionally hear of the dealer standing on a soft 17. Players’ cards are dealt face up, while the dealer peaks for a blackjack if a ten or ace is showing.

The dice are rolled by the players to determine the movement of the playing pieces along the respective racing tracks. Using two regular deck of cards, remove all Aces, Kings and Jokers leaving 88 cards (2 through Queen).

The remaining deck is placed aside, often protected by placing a chip or other marker on it. Players pick up the cards and hold them in their hands, being careful to keep them concealed from the other players, then a round of betting occurs.

Video poker is an exception to that rule. If you look for the most liberal pay tables, and play them properly, you can have a thin advantage. It simply means that players must try to make the best high hand, the best low hand or both.

• Blackjack mit card counting strategy

Try it out on any even-steven game. Get a miniature roulette set, or play heads or tails with quarters, it matters little. The method above works equally well on blackjack, albeit you will have much more to keep track of there - your hand, the dealer's hand, all the other players' hands, etc, etc, etc.

• 5 card charlie blackjack rules

Multiply that by 8 decks and you can be sure that 8 decks will not be shuffled until they are totally randomized. The house edge for insurance favors the casino, and it is cumulative.
